Minerva Model Railways and the Corona virus
As Directors of our company, we take our responsibilities to safety, both of customers and ourselves, very seriously.
We have examined the issues that we are faced with and have decided that, for the foreseeable future, we will continue to supply models by mail order to customers.
Currently, we are self isolating and being 150 miles apart, think that this is sufficient. We have access to postal services, and take all precautions to avoid infection from others and ourselves being spread.
Although we have very low stocks of some models, we hold reasonable stocks of others, and, whilst we do not know how long this emergency will continue, we will endeavour to provide the great level of service that Minerva has built up over the years.
We will remain at the end of a phone, the online shop will continue for as long as possible, so even if you just want to chat, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Keep well
Chris and Chris
Hi Chris and Chris,
I appreciate Your efforts to continue operating at this time, but Your health and safety must always be paramount. Any extended delay for availability and delivery of models is of little consequence.
For Me in particular it would allow time to finalise a design, and possibly commence building, a small (14′ x 18″) layout specifically to run the class 14 I ordered. It will be a small terminal halt with an off-stage coalmine, set in The Forest Of Dean during 1964. Two panniers and necessary rolling stock will be ‘borrowed’ from My other layout which is set in Buckinghamshire, 1962.
Best wishes,
Phil Meadows.
