First the bad news…..
The factory have advised that the mother pcbs for the Class 14, which are the link for the working headlights and cab lights etc. did not arrive from the sub contractor last week as expected. They are chasing like mad, as they don’t want part assembled models ‘clogging up’ the assembly line, but as of today do not have a delivery date. Our manager surmises that it is because of the endemic staff shortages that are now common.
Until we have a delivery date for the pcbs, it is impossible to say when the models will arrive here, but we will keep you up to date as soon as we know.
And now the good news…..
As there is now unexpected production space (!) in the factory due to the above, we have agreed that the manufacture of the wooden Minks can be bought forward. We now expect them to be complete within the next 7 days, with delivery to us by the middle/end of May.
We are really disappointed that the Class 14s have been delayed yet again, and hope that we will get a new completion date in the next few days. Our apologies to everyone who has a model on advance order.
